SPORA

Spora explores the potential of 3d printing with living matter capable of growth by using moss as a key component of the printing material. Through a series of 3D printed vases, the project examines using moss to serve as a structural growth medium instead of a decorative covering.

Moss has many beneficial properties including the capability to absorb moisture and prevent soil erosion, create a foundation for other plant species, and at a large scale, potentially improve air quality and absorb carbon from the atmosphere.
